wow.
thats mad! but definately kinda cool..and a great conversation starter! (even if you have to repeat your life story nearly!)
my family is at the moment split up over 3 different countries so i definately get you on the international dialing! (my family are living in a VERY remote part of aussie..2.5 days from the nearest city! closer to indonesia really!)trying to remember who's where and what time it is!

thanks for the story :)

I moved from the US to London, and two years later moved to Dublin. London didn't feel right to me, but I had fallen in with an Irish crowd and thought I would feel more at home here, and I have, and am still here nearly a decade later.

I was in my early twenties when I did all of this moving, and I also was suffering from depression and elation, which 'fueled' a lot of my decision making. But if you are young, and unattached, and have nothing to lose, I say go where the day takes you. You might just find your home.

I'm Australian ans spent two years in London, then two years in Malaysia followed by two years in Italy. Afterwards I went back home for several years, and just over five years ago I moved to Sweden where I think I'll stay for good. So it's been a bit of a whirlwind ride ( ... )

My parents are English and moved to Canada where I was born. Then when I was about 8 we moved to the US. When I reached 21 I moved back to England, even though I'd not spent much time there other than odd holidays.

I found it very easy, but then I've always been an expat. It's not much different, though I'm much happier here than I was in the US. It all depends on where you fit in.
