i've only been away from home for about 5 weeks now... but i do get lonely. i have my wonderful fiance here with me... but at the same time i miss my family and my friends a lot. i miss having my life... my bed, my truck, my home and i feel like i haven't developed anything like that here yet. given that i've only been here for a short amount of time... i'm sure it'll get better. just need to adjust

Hey, you go to CIS?

I went for 3 years... left 6 years ago. Yikes. How's IB treating you?

Did you happen to have Ms. Conway as your teacher?

Nope. I was only there for middle school (6-8th grade). After looking at the teacher's roster, it looks like almost all of my teachers have left, as well...

Except for Carnignan, Heisterberg, Pedersen, and Wykes.

LOL...I have Ms. Wykes for my Bio teacher. She's hysterical.

What did you think of CIS?

*hug* I feel lonely too sometimes. Most recently, I felt very lonely for 2-3 weeks after I moved from Slovakia to Lithuania. I lovely my life there and my friends. It felt very much like home for me after my year there, but I'm sure it will soon feel like home here as well. True "home" for me though is always wherever I with someone I love, so that's a different issue, but highly related.

Good luck to you. Hang in there.

I know the feeling. I have friends here, and while they don't intend to leave me out...when they've known each other for 5 years minimum (and mostly more), it's hard for me to work my way into their friendships.

It is hard, but I've gotten more used to it, to some extent...it's something I expected, though, which I suppose makes it a bit easier.

I have two friends coming over at Christmas...I don't know if that will make things better or worse.
