Oh! you're in dublin as well? Have you noticed the lack of american sort of grocery stores? Drives me mad. i have yet to find one shop that would have everything i need in it.

If it's specific items you're looking for, that can often be difficult. If it's just the humongous supermarket type thing you're looking for, the Tesco in Finglas is your best bet.

I spent a good deal of time here as a traveller a few years ago and I can tell you that you should stay at the Kinley House or the Four Courts Hostel. They were both fantastic! If you go out Galway- The Sleep Zone was by far the nicest hostel I have ever experienced.

If you aren't looking for hostels and don't mind hotel prices, then come to dublin, stay in Dublin 2 and you will find TONS at your disposal. A lot of historic things around the city centre as well as transportation to everywhere else you could go in the country.

Hope you get here soon!

Thank you very much for the info. I'll look into the hostels, anything nice and cheap is what we're looking for! Think we'll go around July, is that high season? Well, I want to go for my Birthday, which I cant really change!

We'll probably go to Dublin because of easy flights there from Amsterdam. I'm looking forward to it!!
