As an expat living in France for the best part of the last three years, one of things that I have missed (apart from Cricket!) is the BBC nightly news show Newsnight. Well I've just found it online, you can watch it at the BBC Newsnight site.

Don't get me started on EuroSport.

I couldn't find the Finals of the WTA because the were showing replays of Snooker.

Speaking of announcers for Snooker, did you catch some of these gems:

"Andy Hicks, currently ranked Fifty Oneth in the world..."

"..now he's got a difficult shot coming up here due to the positionability of leaving the cue ball in a positionalbly playable position..." huh ? Is that the Queen's english ???

Ah yes, I thought I had escaped snooker when I moved here, but oh no, its on French Eurosport. Yeah the commentary was a bit comedy, they said it cost "15 livres to join the final". They also had Brest-Dijon football (who is interested in second division french football?) instead of the ATP Masters last night.
