I have had this entry open on my desktop for weeks now. I have been meaning to read it carefully and post something meaningful but I have not come up with much. I think I can understand what you mean about leaving a place. As lame as it might sound, I spent 6 months living out of the Doha Marriott and I still remember the night I left. The women in the Mexican restaurant sang "Leaving on a Jet Plane" for me. I think that was the best assignment I will ever have.
One thing is without question. Moving sucks rocks. 'nuff said.
I hope you are enjoying life and London and that you got the schooling situation figured out. Are you aware of the community brit_americans?

How was Doha? What kind of work do you do?

One move is behind us -- I just had the agents in who are going to list this flat for sale. We should find out about Zoe's school TODAY, finally. It starts tomorrow, after all.

I didn't know about the UK/US community, I'll have to check that out...

I really enjoyed Doha. I was there from October 2002 to July 2003, needless to say it was an interesting time to be there. You get spoiled because high levels of service are available at half the cost of N. America or Europe.

I work for a large company that sells power generation equipement When a customer buys a new turbine, there is a line in the contract that says "some assembly required". I help the custoemr put all the pieces together and troubleshoot problems.

Seems to take you to lots of interesting places!! I used to do consulting and travel a lot, prior to having a hub and two kids in tow!
