I am an American from New Orleans teaching english in Wuhan, China. After graduating from University with two Batchelor's degrees I found myself still working my student job. My best friend has dreamed of moving to China all of her life and so when she got a job offer I decided to hitch on to her dream and check it out. As did another listless ( Read more... )

Hi! I live in Taiwan now (I moved temporarily here for my job from the U.S.), but I have to travel to Shanghai and Suzhou every 2-3 weeks right now for my job. I agree with you that no book can really illustrate the Chinese culture, so it's fantastic to see it from your own eyes.

I'm glad you're enjoying it.

i used to live in china (beijing to be more exact)... from 1998-2000
My experience from China, definetly was different from yours... Just for the fact that i was only 13 when i moved there, and i lived in a so called 'expact community'... you know, international school, foreign friends... all that... its really a shame thought.. because i never really got to know any chinese people.. -sigh-
But it was a great experience.. 'Cos nevertheless.. i got to know china.. :)

Currently in Beijing . I love living in China, so many different things. It is half of what I thought it was and half not sorta kinda.

Dispeite the stupidty that I am srounded with I am actually enjoying myself here, and do not want to go back to Toronto anytime soon.

Chao YangDistrict just on teh outside of fourth ring road but oddly close to thrid ring road as well. Beijing has my inner compass all screwy

Hey, I am in Tianjin, and am also nearing the end of my first year here. I have also decided to stay another year, but I think I will continue in Tianjin. I really like this city.
