first of all, i saw deathly hallows yesterday with lori and it was awesome. i think overall i actually liked part 1 slightly more, but i thought part 2 was very well done. can't believe it's over. as soon as it ended i said "uh, now what?" :( also i don't hate ginny but a) the chemistry between danrad & bonnie is like non-existent, and b) the ( Read more... )

I haven't started reading that series yet. Do you think I should read the books before watching the show, or does it not matter?

i would watch S1 and then read the books -- or at least the first book -- if you're so inclined. there are lots of good holy shit moments that i think would be fun to be unspoiled for, but the show has to leave a lot out because the book is so damn long.

I'LL COME TALK TO YOU ABOUT A DANCE WITH DRAGONS.

I'm not sure how I felt about Dany. I do like that she finally FINALLY got it into her head that she needs to go to Westeros, and I kind of loved her wandering barefoot and nigh-delusional through the Dothraki sea with her dragon. It was pretty badass.

Tyrion's character arc worries me. I could always accept his vague misogyny as the one flaw in an otherwise pretty great dude, but talking about wanting to rape Cersei? Ugh. Still, he was getting better... I just want him to FINALLY meet Dany, jfc.

Worried about Jaime. :( I ship him and Brienne so unbelievably hard I don't have words for it, so if she's somehow leading him into a trap I will be terribly unhappy.

Holy shit, I can't believe I started to not hate Theon. GRRM is so good at that-- he did it with Jaime, now Theon. I still don't love him the way I do Jaime, but considering how much I hated him, that I don't anymore is a magical feat ( ... )

I was beyond shocked when Jon 'died' I swear if he dies I'm going to be extremely annoyed because he's my fave character.

I think that one of the heads of the dragon is actually going to be Bran because the three eyed crow did promise him that he would fly. Bran's POV in the book was boring and well I really believe Coldhands is Benjen Stark. Everytime I read about all the characters hating on the Starks it really annoys me. They were really honourable sort and I reckon since GRRM pretty much started off his book with them they're just so well loved. I want to see some vengeance for the Starks although Cat Stark really annoyed.

Somewhere I think Jaime might be the other rider. Not too sure but I always had my fingers crossed that it'd be Jon.

The Khal that finds Dany was one of Drogo's blood riders who deserted after Drogo came back to 'life'. Otherwise Quentyn was a fool, I feel sorry for Jorah and although I had liked Tyrion he's beginning to really annoy me.
