i have to confer with you sometime soon on rockband things! i'm not going to do g-ville; my mom is springing for me to come down and everything and i need to go see her for a few days, and it's too crazy to go orlando, miami, g-ville and somehow fit a few days in the keys in there, too. so my plan is to fly into orlando, go to the show, ride down to miami with you guys (and go to the show in miami, obvs), and then head down to the keys on saturday. does that work ok? and what are the chances of me getting picked up from the airport in orlando? if not i guess i can just get a taxi or whatever. IDK!

I was tempted to answer the "complicated" way to number one, because while in general, I prefer slash, it depends what characters/fandom we're talking about! Bandom, I prefer slash, no question. Real relationship fic squicks me out (unless it's Gerard/Lynz/Frank/Jamia, in which case I'm weirdly okay with it? *hands*) and I don't find any of the girls within bands all that compelling, fic wise. If you head over to, say, Battlestar Galactica or Buffy, I'll definitely be reading het just because that's what my OTPs are. But in a general way, I will choose slash over het.

And I should expand on my het/slash answer. I'll read anything well written in theory. But when I got into fic, I quickly discovered that slash had much less crappy fic, so I mostly hung around those places. (Oh how things have changed). And age was probably a factor. That whole gay thing had more of that forbidden! quality to it, and well, it's worse than catnip for teenagers ( ... )
