Phone companies

Finally giving up on Vodafone's dreadful network, I am attempting to switch back to Telstra. On Saturday morning, I went into a Telstra shop and explained that I wanted to switch, transfer my Vodafone number, and get Visual Voicemail activated (even knowing that Telstra charge an extra $5/month for that). You can't on sell their iphone as they lock them to the network - they get you all ways - What Australia needs is a phone company like those here in 3rd world Montenegro where they actually seem to care

You can sell network-locked phones (they fetch about $100 less than unlocked phones), or you can pay the unlocking service and then sell them.

Very aggravating. I remember going through a similar thing with OzEmail, back in the day, but that was only over an erroneous $40 charge and after 2 or 3 tries, I let it go rather than wasting more hours of my life on the phone.
