No, seriously. You're not. Stick with your languages, Japanese preferably, Germany if you necessarily ( Read more... )

mmmm sexy eyebrows~

Actually it's more like; wanting to know more so I can doodle Hetalia characters in my notes and laugh at historical settings for reasons that no one else in the class understands. Which is only remotely better. If better at all >__>

Omg perv!Queen ftw.

And I am a total fangirl for Elizabeth I/England. The loyalty in there and and and just...

"I am married... to England."

*brb checking up if that quote happened irl*

Well. All I'm wondering is who's rubbing off on who o__o;;

Tell me if you find anything! I think I read a multi-chapter fic a while back where England were talking to Queen Elizabeth at one point and she addressed him as "dear husband". Should still have it in the epic folder of epicness with Hetalia fics that shake_it_buddy sent me.

I have no idea if Wikipedia accounts as reliable source, but apparently she was portrayed as being married to her country and her people. Poets and writers took the otherwise disliked fact that she never married and turned it into something admirable and iconic. This was after 1578.

Quote from Wiki: In 1599, Elizabeth spoke of "all my husbands, my good people".

I only skimmed through Wikipedia... I'd love to get the chance to dwelve deeper into this subject though. /o/
