ps: just because someone isn't into your kind of music doesn't mean that they are closed-minded popular media suckups. the majority of the bands i listen to are from small independent labels who you probably haven't heard of and probably make 1/100th of what NIN makes. who's the popular media whore now?

(and another reason i didnt explain it last night right off the bat is because i figured i'd at least give you a chance at misinterpreting what i say before assuming you would. firstly: do you consider yourself a popular media suckup? because i certainly dont see you as being one of those, so i dont see why you would take that as a shot at you. secondly: i said your asking that is what prompted the thoughts. it was the princple of it, not the fact that you said it. if it was meant to be a personal insult of any sort, i would've said it to you, not posted it all over my journal. come on megan, im better than that.)
