[You'll recognize this voice, Jones. It's the same southern drawl you've heard twice but still don't have a name to attach it to. Funny how some of the most mundane things slip your mind sometimes.]
Do it durin' the day time. If the pattern holds, there'd be less monsters that way. People won't die from starvation for another night.
[Although even he was a little hesitant on that. Time is somewhat weird here, and while clocks say one thing, his biological clock tells him something else.]
But people will die if they go out there where it's crawlin' with monsters.

I recognize this voice.
Amazed to say it, but I'm starting to miss the daylight. Comes far less frequently than I'm used to. Is this some sort of geographical anomaly? Would've imagine the weather would be colder if we were closer to a pole.
How're you and the other girl doing? Don't think I got your names.
[Public; Text]
Daylight's a good idea. Easier to plan, too. Which area are you in? From the way the rooms are lettered, I'd say I'm in the "East" section with a few others.

[Now Eliot recognizes the voice too, to his surprise. He grins a bit, and it can be heard in the drawl of his voice.]
Hey. Name's Eliot.
[But the smile drops when they get back to more serious subjects.]
Yeah... maybe if we're on near the poles around summer or winter solstices. That might have times like these. But you're right, this, this doesn't have the right feel of those latitudes. An' even the poles won't have stars like the ones we have here.
We're fine, man, thanks for askin'. Not too fond of these monsters roamin' outside though.
I'm in the West tonight, an' it looks like I'll be sieged in until daylight comes around. I'll help ya with the supply runs when the next 'day' comes around.

...Ha. I'd say it's good to be working with you, but given the circumstances...
Maybe you can do me a favour, see if we can get a head count going over in that building. I'll search the network and compare notes. If we've got people's names and rooms down, maybe we can see how capable these people really are. If we get one team per building making some food runs in the day, maybe we wouldn't have to worry much about losing anyone.
Also: Do we know yet if we're on an island, or a continent? Didn't have time to see too much of the territory yet, or do a survey.

[Eliot nods to himself, agreeing with Jones even though the other man wasn't there to see it.]
I already did a survey two days ago and there's more empty rooms than occupied ones. Hard to say how many people with everyone runnin' around as they are. I can try to do another headcount later, but no sayin' it'll account for everyone.
And it's an island, roughly circular formation, 'bout 8 miles wide outside the walls, 6 miles inside. Ain't much to see and most of it looks abandoned.
