Fiddles, pickles, and cider

It was a good October. The first two weeks, I mostly sat around the house, but in a good way. I played a lot of fiddle and made pickles from the free vegetables I was getting from the farm. First internet access in a while: Happy Birthday!

I wish I had something more to send than good wishes--had I known you were getting into preservation and fermentation so much, I would have gotten a loaf or two of fermented bread from Bok Choy at Twin Oaks and sent them on up to you. I'd love to hear more about your adventures in pickles. I've been getting into that field as well, but never tasting the fruits of my own labor.

I wonder what local produce will look like in November in Tennessee and Mississippi?
