Hi there. I'm wandering through your LJ reading your stuff, and I had to comment on this one.

This is wonderful. Very painful, very powerful. I love Stella a lot, and I really like stories that explore the Ray/Stella relationship, and I really appreciate your take on it.

I like Stella a lot, too. And good Ray/Stella is pure bliss... I think I might be using up my ratio of swear-words, though, always so much swearing in my fics :S

Thank you for commenting!

Hi, followed a link here from remixthedrabble.

Wow. This is so beautiful, both hot and meaningful. I have a bit of a kink for angry!sex, and this is that, but it's so much more than that, too. I'm amazed at how you get into Stella's head, make the divorce seem like the only understandable thing for her to do. And she does still love him, she does.

God, this is so beautiful and painful and real.

Thank you so much for your lovely comment!

Actually, I just reread this myself for the first time in a long time, to really appreciate the remix - and, wow, Stella's really angry isn't she? *g*

I have great sympathy (and fascination) for the character, though. I can imagine her and Ray together, and I can imagine them tearing apart.

I'm so happy you liked it, thanks again for commenting!

I have such a fascination for Stella - for this ambitious, sharp woman - and for her relationship to Ray.

I'm thrilled you liked it - thank you for telling me! :)

Huh, interesting. Stella is one of the people I relate least to in due South, I think--I would have a hard time writing her myself, but I do enjoy reading other people's takes on her. Oh yeah, now I remember that you also wrote the awesome "Apartment Story"...

Hiya, sorry for being so late in replying. I don't have that comment notification thing figured out, so sometimes I miss comments...

I think that my fascination with Stella stems more from the fic I've read than the show's representation of her, as well. But I do like her potential in the show, where she's kind of an underdeveloped character, and at the same time she's got these really neat contradictions: Her professionalism, her crude language, her soft spot for Ray, at the same time that she shoots him down in a pretty harsh way... And I'm a little bit in love with powersuit women, I guess, because they're so far from everything I know *g*

Thank you for your nice words about "Apartment Story" the story I kind of wanted to title "Cockfight" *g*

Hi! I don't know how i got here but i just wanted to tell you i loved this story. I think Stella's and Ray's relationship on the show is so fascinating, how they still love but are no longer good for each other, and you really captured that here.

This might be a bit weird but I really liked how you described their fighting, it feels very true psychologically. I especially liked this bit;

"But fuck, how could she trust him, how could they trust each other if every thing they said when they weren't arguing was just gathering ammunition for the next fight?""

Hi :) I'm thrilled that you liked the story, and thank you so much for telling me!

I kind of liked writing their fight, too - I don't know, I just became instantly fascinated with Stella and Ray's relationship when watching the show, maybe because it is so underdeveloped, but has so much potential: Stella (and their relationship and eventual break-uo) tells us so much about Ray Kowalski.

Yes, you're right, it does tell us a lot about Ray Kowalski, sometimes i think i probably wouldn't like Ray half as much without Stella, it explains so much about him ( ... )

Yes! I love the realism of their relationship, too. I love that they both have rough edges and don't know how to act around each other, and that they've grown apart but don't quite know how *not* to be together, yet.

Stella can come off as bitchy, but I think that's also because we've only been told the story from Ray's perspective. She's not the typical female TV character, either, and I love that. Yay Stella! :D:D
