Fourteenth Transformation [Video/action for Route 34]

[Today when the video comes on, Envy is pushing through the tall grass and bushes outside Goldenrod. He's looking extremely frustrated, and there might be a small bit of worry there too. He's got his Tyranitar and Houndoom out; Chimera is looking around from his higher vantage point, and Lucky is sniffing at the ground and whining in distress. They ( Read more... )

[An opportunity for Ed to troll Envy? How can he pass this up?!]

And I though I was bad with my Pokemon. What'd you do to scare it away? Or, did it just run off after looking at your face?

[And here's a rather venomous glare from Envy.]

None of your business what happened, pipsqueak. At least none of mine have ever tried to electrocute me.

[Ed used troll. It wasn't very effective. Envy used counter. It's super effective.]

Yeah, but at least I don't scare mine away!! Mine can take care of themselves!

[It actually was pretty effective! He's just so pissed off already that it would be hard to get him moreso.]

I didn't scare her off! She just wandered off and got lost. Mine all like me.

I know someone in Goldenrod, if it helps I can ask him to keep an eye out for your Pokemon? Does she answer to any nicknames?

Hadn't given her a name yet.

Guess it couldn't hurt though, who is it? [Envy is ever so gracious at accepting help not. But he's at least making an attempt to be.]

[She's gotten a little bit better equipped at handling that kind of attitude as of late, Envy, so you're okay for now.]

His name is Zuko. Last time I spoke with him he said he was still there. Do you already know him?

[He shakes his head.] Nah. Name sounds a little familiar, but I've never met him.

What's he look like?

Yeah, bananas. Growing out of her neck.

...I've given up on how these things work.

-- Could be worse. At least she doesn't fly yet, right?

[Nevermind the Taillow in his hair.]

I hope not, if she's managed to get this far on just those stubby legs.

[Exasperated look.] I swear, once I find her I'm getting a damn leash.

Your bird hasn't tried to run off has it? [He can't be the only one who got a crazy pokemon, right?]

I wonder if they make leashes for bugs. [Yeah, Bicho is still a pain to look after.]

[And the bird seems perfectly content on his head, thank you very much. He points this out by literally pointing it out.]

Does it look like it'll go anywhere anytime soon?

If I see one, I'll let you know.

Yeah, yeah, I see that your hair is its nest now. [There's a small smirk, but even his normal teasing is pretty distracted.] You guys are still in the city, right?

I coooouuuuld send my Skarmory out to look for her, I guess.

[Because clearly, if Envy has to swallow his pride, Squalo will not make it easy.]

[If he hadn't already been looking for hours he probably would have just angry-linefaced at Squalo and hung up, but he is starting to worry some.]

[As is he still gets some angry-lineface. He's still not going to accept the help easy either.] Yeah, does your Skarmory look for missing pokemon often or something?

[That's what kind of sobers Squalo up too. If there's serious worry and not just injured pride on the line her... okay. He might actually help.]

Tch. Mine don't run off on me, so no. Bet he'd still see more than you do.

[I said might, didn't I?]

Mine don't normally run off on me either. But considering one of the first things this one did after hatching was try to challenge my Arbok, I'm not too sure about her survival instincts.

I'd hope a bird would be able to see more, or it wouldn't be much of a useful offer would it? But I guess if you want to help so badly I wouldn't say no. [He accepts help so gracefully, like a swan.]
