I dare you to post the "spouting claptrap" comment. ^_^
I know that our voices sound different to ourselves (probably the sound causing vibrations straight up the jawbone where it can be picked up in the ear), but I don't see how it would be deeper...
Damn. Now I'm thinking. I was trying to avoid doing that, as I don't fit in enough as it is! =P

No one's voice sounds the same to their own ears. And recordings distort. Trust me on this, I live with an AV engineer (rolls eyes).
Your voice is high-pitched, but who cares? It's fine ... the best thing about it is how incredibly authoritative you can get, especially when some wanker has tried to take you on academically.
dulthar insists our voices don't sound that different - yours and mine, mine and Jac's, mine and Kathleen's. But my voice sounds really different in my head. dulthar says he's got teh same thing - he thinks his voice is really deep in his head, which is kind of funny, because he's voice isn't really that deep anyway.
We were listening to the recording and both cringing!
That's odd... I hear my voice on recording all the time, and as much as I hate to say it? You sound...squeakier.
And Jac sounds nothing like you or I, apart from certain odd rythmns of speech. I blame the fact she's the only one out of the three of us to have a fully functional nose :P
You definitely have the deepest voice out of all of us and I indisputably have the highest pitched voice. crazyjane13 and everyone else say that mine and Jacqui's voices are very similar - I can live with that. Her voice ain't so bad (not the squeaking horror I hear, anyway). I guess what dulthar was getting at is that our voices are pretty much the same just with different pitches. Hence people thinking I am mum with a headcold!
The more dulthar and I played around with it, the more I got used to my voice and it didn't bother me so much. I think it was just the 'shock value'.
