Holy crap, my left shoulder hurts.  It hasn't hurt like this in a long time. >.<  Gah, that's what I get for spending so much time hunched over, either a computer or on the floor folding giant-ass pieces of paper ( Read more... )

GAHH!! YOU HAVE REAL HEATING AT ELEMENTARY! I AM SO JEALOUS!!!

So yea... observed lesson was interesting. Being included in the meeting afterward was... um.. pointless? It was cool to not be left out, but my interaction the whole time basically boiled down to 'what is hotchkiss in english' ... Yea, Suzuki asked me that...

NIIIIICE.

I think it was a second year teacher who randomly asked me what was the song we sang for good-bye at JHS. And I was like, it's JHS, when we sing, we sing real songs. I honestly thought I was misunderstanding her because what she said was so strange.....

Well, that's a BIT ethnocentric in its phrasing hon...

Something like 'we sing regular songs that are different from school to school' as opposed to one generic graduation song at all schools... :p

No, no, I mean a good-bye song as in a song that we sing at the English class for good-bye. Though, when I said that when we sing in class we sing pop songs she was all like, "hmmmm....must be a different school." Which is strange, maybe she meant at another elementary? And, I assumed JHS, but I said "中学校で", is very explicit. Which now makes me wonder if there's a JHS in Sakado that sings a song for good-byes.

And also, the don't have one generic graduation per say, it just seems that they pick a different song each year for them to sing at graduation.

That's really weird, about your microwave. I thought that certain things were on different circuits or whatever, so it should always flip the same breaker. But then, my knowledge of this kind of thing is very sketchy. XP

Yeah, I thought something like that too, but then I remind myself: This is Japan.

It's said how often that single reason can cover so many things.
