[I know right. It's freaky. He is genuinely amazed by it. He's tries a smile when Link figures it out, assuming it's not disrespectful to do that. HE'S PRETTY SURE!!!

He nods again, a little less frantic, but still moderately frazzled. He's pretending he feels casual, but in all reality he wants nothing more than to sit Link down and ask him a bajillion and a half questions about his UNDOUBTEDLY MAGNIFICENT adventures that for sure blow his into the water.]

He fidgets nervously for a moment, torn between not wanting to bother Mr. Hero by asking everything he wants to, and doing it anyways because HE REALLY WANTS TO KNOW. He figures it won't be offensive if he just inquires if he can, though... so he brings out his handy dandy notebook and scribbles something quickly. The end result reads neatly,

Sfjsfsl y-yes um... he thinks about this carefully... it's probably best to ease the conversation into hero worship a little more. Yes, this seems like a good plan. Besides, he's pretty curious about these things too.

Well, she's really pretty, but she's kind of bossy, too. Link, do this. Link, clean up that mess. Link, you must help me protect the Triforce from Ganon! Sheesh. You'd think she thought I didn't know my job.

[It's really, really tempting to complain some more, and he would with just about anyone else. With this kid, though... Well, when you want to tell kids stories to make their eyes go wide, you want the princess to look good, too. She's on the hero's side, after all.

And something about this kid makes Link want to see awe in his eyes.]

But she's a really good fighter, too. She can use a bow and a boomerang, and you should see her when she uses the Triforce. She's saved my life, you know.

Though not as many times as I've saved her.

[...Oh. He ponders this. At first, he thought Tetra was kind of bossy himself, but that was before everything really went downhill and before she actually liked him. The last comment about her "bossiness" confuses him, though; isn't that a pretty... you know, valid argument? It is the Triforce. But maybe protecting it is just that easy for the Hero?

He smiles a little once Link starts to complimenting her, instead. That sounds like his Zelda, for sure... he's not sure if she can use a boomerang, though. Just his bow. Still, that's something! He had no idea she could do that at all, before she grabbed it from him and started shooting away.
