Lots of Japanese bands copy western bands, right? Happens all the time.
But what about the other way around, and actually SUCCEED???

Well, here's a band that did just that.
This song, Tada Arigato ("Simply Thank You" translated by ME =P), was the theme song of a J drama that I just finished watching, and it's so full of love, gratitude, and hope that ( Read more... )

That's such a shame! D=
It was such a great drama and I LOVED it. Every single episode, I cried tears of joy, and I'm not kidding. =P
But I'm surprised you picked THAT drama, because it's not a trendy drama, you know? (6_6)

have i expressed myself sufficiently?? *lol*

it's a beautiful song isn't it? i love these guys, their songs are simple but it feels so comfortable listening to them... the canadian brothers have stayed in sendai for awhile now so that probably explains their decent japanese ^^

thanks my dear sis <333 this is really your strategy for distracting me from the fact that G will be singing somewhere 30min away from me tmr night right?? XDDD

pssst... wang lee hom's here for a singing gig today! people are now speculating the guys will meet up, how nice if they do~!!

teeheehee... =P

I didn't think it'd be much of a distraction, but figured it couldn't hurt! LOL

It's such a gentle, sweet, and uplifting song, it can't help but put me in a good mood! =D
And the lyrics! So pure and sincere. I LOVE it! I didn't know they were Canadians. It's so refreshing to see Westerners making great music by incorporating J-pop/rock so well and also succeeding in Japan.

Ooooo, Wang Lee Hom's there now!? Huh! Coincidence...or not??? Hmmmmmm.

if i'm not wrong, the older brother came to japan as an English teacher then decided to start a band and got his little bro to come over ^^ ... they're pretty cool huh? u should check out the rest of their songs, really easy-listening... this could go down on the list of common loves too?? *lol*

yup Lee Hom's here to sing for the opening of a new shopping mall... moon child reunion!!! *kyaaa* where the hell is hyde??? XDD

Wow, English teacher to a successful recording artist, in Japan at that! I admire that! (*_*)
Yes, this could definitely go down on the list of common loves, my dearie.

Wow, wouldn't it be awesome if G suddenly shows up there in the mall with Lee Hom? (><)
Oh, forget Hyde, he's never a good sport. =P

A very happy and up-lifting song. (^_^)
I should listen to more of such music.
Thank you, Val! <3

Is the band based in Japan?

Sorry for the late response~~~~ XD
Yes, they're apparently based in Japan.
Jas says the two brothers are from Canada. They have a lot of English songs, too. =D

Hope you've "recovered" nicely from the excitement! (^_-)
