The crystalline medallion glows, accepting the of talismans presented to it. However, when it reaches the Jenova talismans, the light fails.

I fear, brave gardener, that you will need to find another hero's talisman to defeat General Zombie. I think you will find those who you are looking for in Mario's land. Perhaps you should consult this codex to aid you in your search. Any of the denizens from that world will work, and special talisman are able to defeat General Zombie twice.
