This was fun! And he gave her the best surprise of all. Perhaps, as the opposite of a black cat, if Luna Lovegood crosses your path, it's good luck. :)

Of course, with Snape nothing can ever be just as it seems on the surface, and Hermione (Gryffindor though she is, bless her) knows him and cares for him enough to know this. I also love that Minerva was in on the plotting, but again, these women are smart enough to know just the most effective and safe way to get their goals accomplished. I love that Severus and Hermione do realize their mutual attraction, but also really love that they are friends first.

I'm really sorry that I didn't realize this was up - you posted this on the second day of my week out of town, which just happened to be the day I was having a fangirlistan evening with Madeleone, Clairvoyant, and Bluestocking79 in Detroit!

I would say that I'm sorry it took you six tries, but the end result is so worth it, I'm not sure if I can honestly say that, lol! Thank you so much!

Oh, heck. Angst is fine, and there are some really great angsty fics, but I can only read them some of the time. Give me fluffy any day!!
