didn't do shit in firefox on mac :( uninstalled chrome a while ago on my computer (the one that is always on anyway), so i used john's chrome. i just need to go to opera. firefox is slow. i have had it installed fr a while but i am a creature of habit for such things as these. never liked safari, but i think that goes back to my dev days. never needed it actually, since if it worked in FF it worked in safari.
yes, that's all this is. browser compatibility. funny. i never realised it before. i remember at one point testing everything in 5 browsers though i don't remember which. 2 versions of IE, firefox, netscape and ... i never did opera compatibility. hm. it's probably dumb luck if things work in it, no? granted i have been resigned now for almost 5 years. the only job i was never fired from- even though we lost bank of america and half the company disappeared. but, i was their only front-end guy (:
Proper coding if it works in Opera, as it is the most advanced browser out there. I design for Opera and then ship everything off to Browsershots.org to check compatibility. And like I tell all clients, I only check the current version of IE. I will not do hacks.
I use Opera about 95% of the time, and Chrome (and Chromium) for the rest.
