since november 17, 2008, the day i decided to take a risk and get my hair cut by someone other than the guy who'd been doing it since i'd had hair long enough to cut, my hairstyle has gone through a variety of subtle but notable mutations. this is new to me. my first three years of college i had a simple bob with a tiny bit of layering in the back ( Read more... )

it is, isn't it. i hadn't thought of that. what confuses me, though, is that the stylist said she was going to make it "bob style." i don't understand what is bob style about the rihanna cut.

Your hair looks awesome! I just got several inches hacked off and am still getting used to it--it's about the same length as yours. It's growing on me--literally and figuratively.

Also, I share your never-having-the-same-haircut-twice experience. Sorta frustrating, but I guess sometimes it produces interesting changes?

yeah, i suppose i tend to prefer frequent interesting changes in most other parts of my life, so why not my hair? as long as it doesn't look horrendous, i'm not unhappy with it, really.

Too cute! I really like the layering.

I also never seem to be able to get the same cut twice. My mom cut my hair for the first twenty-some years of my life, so it was really hard for me to get used to going to the salon. But, I think I've gotten over crying when they're done :D
