and you’re nearly 37. you have
no children and you burn dinner
more often than you dance.
This is really poignant for me. So much caught up in so few words.

It's cool that she's responding, partly, to the Marie Howe poem.
I also wonder about how people cultivate the psychology or mind that McConnell and Howe describe in both of these poems.
