It's too bad the poet here reiterates excerpts from the pamphlet; personally, I feel the connection between the straight-forwardness of the original epigram and the directness of instructions for the subject at hand is already fully formed without the repetition. The poem would be nigh on perfect if it weren't for those three extraneous lines.

There's something terribly bittersweet, independent, and isolating about this poem. It's like standing all alone out in the desert with only your thoughts to talk to as you walk. There is no sadness, but there is acceptance, existence, and an existential freedom that is so liberating.

i was lucky enough to have carolyn creedon as my workshop professor my first year as an undergrad at uva while she was getting her mfa, she is fucking brilliant.

i dont know if she has published her manuscript yet, but ALL OF HER POEMS ARE DAMN SENSUAL AND HOT
