this was absolutely splendid. i love when this happens, be it a poem or some other piece of literature you come across that somehow makes your entire day worth getting up for.

I think this is one of those poems where you have to read into it a lot more than is clearly stated or implied... or just, you have to have the same attitude as the author to really "get" it. Days like that, to me, make me feel depressed, lonely, bored, and as if all the energy has been sapped out of me. Sometimes I need a little shard of inspiration on days like that to make me feel like I'm alive.
