unpopular opinion #2

Nov 13, 2016 12:20

So I went for a walk last night at 10 PM, and it's been pretty warm for November. But there was one house that was decked out in Christmas lights, and at first I was like "what the fuck; it's two weeks before Thanksgiving." But then I was like. "yeah, you rebel, let your freak flag fly."

I say, if it makes you happy, do it, and screw what other people think. :)

I always put my Christmas tree up when I reach my 25 000 words for Nanowrimo (if I'm doing it right, that is usually the 15th). I will also admit that I found puppy and kitty Christmas window clings at the Dollar Store last week. They were so cute, I had to put them up. Shhh...

I agree. Also, I think Americans get way too butt-hurt about Christmas music, decorations, etc prior to THanksgiving or prior to December. Y'all, this is not the only country on the planet.

Here that stuff starts the day after Remembrance Day (well, they have Christmas stuff to buy, but the Christmas music and store decorations start the November 12.)

I think I'd be less irritated if all my favorite radio stations didn't decide to switch to the SAME CHRISTMAS SONGS a thousand times over, so I got nothing on the radio to listen to.

Yeah, the incessant Christmas music is a whole 'nother level. UGH.

I was going to see Lion King and while turning my phone to silence, I saw your post. Made me laugh!
