First things first: anyone want a complete DVD set of all the Planet of the Apes movies? My brother has been slowly upgrading his collection to blu-ray and while I took a few of his old DVDs off his hands (the Godfather set, for instance), I really don't care about the Planet of the Apes movies. Get yourself a good guitar. Nothing improves my stick-to-it-iveness as buying good equipment. Self-motivation or self-guilt, whatever works.

Yeah, I totally believe you. I think it's only recently that I've really noticed as much of a difference - I have a piece where I have to play down around the 15th-17th fret, and on my cheapo one it's a HUGE pain. I just need to get the time (and money!) to get out to a few shops, play a few different kinds, and make up my mind. (If only to know what to look for on eBay, but I'm not sure I want to do eBay this time.)

This in a nutshell is why I haven't started guitar lessons. Well, that and the cost. I figure I'm going to buy a guitar for too much, then discover that it's crap and have to go buy a NEW one.

Heh, I at least didn't spend much on this one, I knew it was cheap going in. But crap worked, at least for the first year or so of lessons!

But it wouldn't be scary enough. The challenge is to face the embodiment of a fear! With enough Berger cookies, it's hard to fear...well, anything. Other than death by chocolate. =)
