Whoa, soccer in America involves the death penalty? It must be very different from English football.

Not so much the death penalty as high amounts of hyperbole! =)

Amusingly enough, the "home team" that plays at UMBC is the field club team for the actual English football team supported by none other than my imaginary British husband, Eddie Izzard.

You went a Crystal Palace game? I saw them last year in Richmond with my little brother.

Yep, first round playoff vs. Harrisburg, Crystal Palace won. It was a great game, even if the officials had a bit of a tendency to overlook things like elbows to the face!
