When I have more time and energy, I think I have another long blathery post in me about sports. Partially spurred on by the Olympics, partially by the soccer game last night, which was awesome and went into sudden death penalty kicks, even if the team I was rooting for ultimately lost. Whoa, soccer in America involves the death penalty? It must be very different from English football.

Not so much the death penalty as high amounts of hyperbole! =)

Amusingly enough, the "home team" that plays at UMBC is the field club team for the actual English football team supported by none other than my imaginary British husband, Eddie Izzard.

Yep, first round playoff vs. Harrisburg, Crystal Palace won. It was a great game, even if the officials had a bit of a tendency to overlook things like elbows to the face!
