Everybody's got to take comfort in something, right?

Building things is dangerous.
Getting used to things is dangerous.
Feeling safe is traitorous and dangerous that way.
Settling down, settling for, settling is a dangerous thing and it's so incredibly easy to get comfortable and settle down.
It's what I'm afraid of, settling.
Static is something I'm afraid of.
Comfort . . . comfort is unwelcome here

this is beautiful as a composition, but at the same time, comfort is not the same as stagnation.

But it leads to stagnation. I think.

there's a difference between being comfortable with yourself, and being so protective of that comfort that you let yourself stagnate, never risk or try new things. comfort is good. ruthless comfort is dangerous.

I guess I'm afraid of ruthless comfort then. Of blurring into the background because I have what I want and I want what I have even though what I want is not exactly this.

Some comfort is fera of new, but don't make the mistake of thinking that of all comfort.

Sometimes something is comforting because it's *good*.

What's up?

I suppose so.

Not very much, I suppose. At least, nothing I haven't been thinking about for a while now.

How about you?
