New York was short, but nice. I forgot to bring back my Japanese textbooks so I could review, but I did drop off the books I finished reading and I picked up two more to read. I'd go with whatever makes you feel pretty. Just don't bring a fecking pigmy marmoset to the wedding, don't wear white, and you should be fine.

In other words, yes, a dress is appropriate.

I finished Nightseer by Laurell K. Hamilton and Wild Seed by Octavia Butler.

I picked up Parable of the Sower and Parable of the Talents both by Octavia Butler.

The wedding was for my mom's friend Cathy. It was simple and nice, fairly casual. The soup was more like straight guacamole than anything else. And they had bubbles! All in all, it was a good time.
