impending celebration

New York was short, but nice. I forgot to bring back my Japanese textbooks so I could review, but I did drop off the books I finished reading and I picked up two more to read. I packed skirts and dresses as well. Hopefully one dress will be good enough for attending a wedding. I think I'll wear the light blue one. My other option is pink and ( Read more... )

I'd go with whatever makes you feel pretty. Just don't bring a fecking pigmy marmoset to the wedding, don't wear white, and you should be fine.

In other words, yes, a dress is appropriate.

what books did you finish/pick up?

whose over 50 wedding did you go to? i've never been to one for an over 50, though i've been to a renewal of the vows ceremony for a couple in their 40s...

I finished Nightseer by Laurell K. Hamilton and Wild Seed by Octavia Butler.

I picked up Parable of the Sower and Parable of the Talents both by Octavia Butler.

The wedding was for my mom's friend Cathy. It was simple and nice, fairly casual. The soup was more like straight guacamole than anything else. And they had bubbles! All in all, it was a good time.

Thanks. It was good seeing what people wore so next time I'll be more prepared. I wore a blue floral dress. I thought that would be good for the summer.
