Some time ago, someone asked me what I meant by "in love", vs. having a crush. The answer was pretty long, and I meant to come back to it and do a post, but it got lost in the plethora of files on my harddrive. Well, here it is.

Well said. People argue I'm an empath as well *shrug* so I know what you mean about emotions are like blades and how being in love can "sharpen" things. The most elation laced hell there is :)

I MUCH prefer love which grows from friendship or another kind of love, because it's an intensity with a foundation.

Hmmmm... much to think about. I recognize a lot of what you described as part of my own reactions to love/crush. It made me really think about my current "crush" and what the status of this person really is to me. Just "hmmmm".
