That is the sound my car made when a black RAV4 hit it this morning. I was on my way to take Jack to daycare and the other guy didn't see me. Ran right into my rear door on the left side. I'm okay, just a little sore, and I think Jack's okay. His seat belt rubbed against his neck a bit and he was a little alarmed but did not cry. I feel like ( Read more... )

Yeah, I can get a sweet carseat now (although I do really like the carseat we have).

Oh god!! I'm glad you're both ok! I think crashes are sooo scary, I would totally cry.

That guy needs to buy you a new car seat for Jack. i think they're not safe after one accident, right?

It depends on how bad the accident was and what type of damage there is. Since the driver hit the rear passenger door, I think I do have to replace the seat even though there wasn't any damage to it.

Ugh. I know how scary accidents can be, even when they're not bad. It doesn't sound like your shoulder is really messed up but it could be a muscle spasm like I had in my back. Just remember to keep track of all of your expenses and submit them with your claim. You're not being greedy or silly to get a carseat and a massage out of it.

I'll get to give you a real hug in a day or two. :-)

Yeah, I think it's just tense but a massage would be nice...

I looked up the criteria for when to replace a carseat and I will have to replace it. Good think you mentioned it to me!

Oh my gosh. That's so scary! I suggest you go to a chiropractor to make sure everything is okay. I didn't after my car accident and now I'm "paying" for it! Also, I heard that no matter how small the accident is, you need to replace the car seat *just in case*. Also, is your car able to be fixed?
