Middle of the night. I drank too much wine and ate way too much bread at dinner and now I'm awake at 2 am. Too hot, too thirsty. Kids are muttering in their sleep ( Read more... )

I can see how it would be overwhelming, but it's got to also be exciting.

When you were up in the middle of the night, i was getting up for the day. Hee. Have to get used to this new time difference!

How has B handled the transition?

B is a rockstar. Truly. I'm glad we have Nosce and her family. But he's happy.

As for me, I'm just tired. I don't do well with all the box clutter. It's hard to keep setting up house while also having to deal with the regular daily living mess too. It's also hard holding space for the little ones and yet also feel my own feelings. Le sigh.

Yep, clean slate, new beginning! It is exciting and fun, but tiring too. I've moved so often. I'm ready to settle down.

I think it will happen quickly! I love Oly. And it has one of the nicest farmer's markets I've ever been to.

Oysters on the halfshell! Mushrooms! O Puget Sound, how I love thee...We may well visit there again this summer--if we do, we should have a hot date at the children's museum or something!

I'm glad it's mostly good. Sometime when you come visit us we can go to White Center or South Park and eat Mexican food. It's not California, but we do have decent pockets of Mexican culture. Actually, we have a ton of taco trucks right in our neighborhood that I need to get around to trying.

Does ParentMap go as far south as Olympia? They'd be a decent source for preschool info. We went to their South and West Seattle Preschool Fair last weekend and found a place that's close AND decent AND affordable AND has space. For two. They start the 2nd and I'm very excited.

Wanna try to get together the first weekend in February?

Doesn't look like parentmap comes down this far, but a neat site. I'll check it out. There's an arts focused preschool/daycare literally two blocks away. We're checking that out next week! There's also the children's museum has a preschool program that I want to check out. But hell, if the around the corner one is awesome then I'm all for that. Walking 2 minutes for pick up and drop off? Perfect.

And YES!! Let's get together! I need your phone number so I can caaaaaaaaalll yoooooouuu! I actually dreamt of you and your family last night. I dreamt that Astrid was bigger than E and they were kicking each other. :)

I know that you're only, what, 50 miles away, so OBVIOUSLY you're in the same time zone. But it's still weird to me that we're awake at all the same times now. :)

I'll message you my phone number. Woohoo!
