Things making now awesome:
*listening to Ani Di Franco while everyone hangs out: drawing, coloring, drooling, drinking wine

*a fat, happy (when she's not grousing for more food) baby
*a great call with keypike in Cananda ( Read more... )

nostalgia, gratitude, music

Are there one or two sources on Hinduism and how it is rad that you would recommend for someone (me) who has little time to read them? I feel like there's a giant hole in what I know about religion(s) because I know so little about Hinduism.

Introducing Hinduism is a good text by some one who pokes into the breadth of it and raises issues around orthodoxy, women, the caste system etc.

I also love Georg (not a misspelling) Feuerstein: The Deeper Dimension of Yoga and Yoga: Technology of Ecstasy. However, all of those books are pretty meaty and not easily skimmed.

There are also several white Western Hindus that blog about their journey. The best one so far is www.western-hindu.org.
