Glorious sleep

Today is the Dormition of the Theotokos (if you're Eastern Orthodox) or the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (if you're Roman Catholic). I celebrated today by a two hour nap this afternoon, after which I woke feeling achey, thirsty and accutely aware of how bad my cloth diapering "hobby" (new profession?) is getting: I dreamed of a store of

Oy. We have a good night if we get a three.

We have been really spoiled of late, with 5-6 hour stretches. Now it's down to 4 but he's flailing about and muttering three times or so in that period. Not waking himself up, but waking us up. I know. I shouldn't complain. Some one always has it worse! ;)

The guy who cleaned our carpets yesterday said both his kids started sleeping through the night the week they came home. :-/

Ouch. I didn't sleep through the night until I was nearly two year old. Maybe the carpet guy's kids were tied down and had timed formula drips? Or a nanny? Or maybe they prayed nightly to the Virgin Mary... that's gotta be it.
