It's time now to look at one of my very favorite films of Ewan's, Stay, again from 2005. He plays Dr. Sam Foster, a psychiatrist . . . or is he? Things are not always as they seem. The story is dark and twisty and oh so interesting.

oh c'mon... they are all your favorites!!! *giggles*

He was certainly sweet in that movie... I liked his hair... his manners... I could have done without his short trousers, but then again, that was a meaningful thing...

LOL-- Rose you've got my number~~!! Yes---I love all of his films or at least I love Ewan in them.

Yea--- The Trousers terrible looking, but they were for a reason---but I always said, they could have at least given him socks. Most ment wear socks with their shoes~~!!!!!

I just LOVED that movie... of course, I didn't understand it after my first couple of viewings... I'm thick that way... but after waiting more than a YEAR for it to come out (it will forever be engraved in my memory as a 2004 movie), I was disappointed by the lack of advertisement and how poorly it was received. I think the ending is where it suffered the most. It was sort of a let-down, if I may put it that way.

It was really quite brilliant, but they took too long to get it out and not enough Marketing. I mean, Ewan... Ryan Gosling... Naomie Watts... all excellent. Not too mention the BATH scene which they should have INCLUDED!!! That would have been a big draw right there!

Tell me to shut up already.... I'm going on and on and on!!!!! ;)

No, Rose, don't quiet down! It is a bit frustrating how the movie was handled, and they didn't even give us the BATH scene. Shame on them!

Because I am a late-to-the-party Ewan fan, I didn't go through the waiting game and just saw Stay not too long ago. I like how the movie is like a puzzle and certainly enjoyed Ewan's performance....even with those short trousers that the director insisted he wear.

HI Diana! The short trousers had a specific meaning, as well as the lack of socks. I would have to watch it again to remember why now... Haven't viewed this in a long time. But it is a well-engineered movie. Too bad they took so long to get it out. They missed the boat on that one...

Hi Anika,

Thanks for another great post. I liked how you said that.....'things are not always as they seem'......well put! It is dark, twisty, interesting, and I'll add puzzling.

My favorite of these nice pics is the kissing one!
