It was ages ago, but I'm quite sure I remember the director saying that. I think it must have been during the audio commentary. The way I remember it, he mimicked Ewan's accent when he said Ewan had suggested they should have a song. :D

Perfect post for all the upcoming festivities. Love the dancing and singing, that video is so cute. The whole movie was so light and fun, but then again I am old enough to remember the old Doris Day and Rock Hudson flicks too.
