I got sunburned yesterday in my quest to not resemble a milkbottle when I go to Viet Nam. "Hilariously" (or so my mum and sisters seem to think) there was, unbeknownst to me, some kind of fake tan in our aftersun lotion. So not only do I have the delightful bright pink with bright white patches motif I was sporting last night, there are also now ( Read more... )

Don't worry, you're not alone. Every time my mother looks at me she stifles a giggle.

Moderate to severe persecution, pointing, mocking, casting of stones...no, no wait, that's what I suffer AT THE HANDS OF MY OWN FAMILY. *CRY!*

Hee! The exact same thing happened to me :) I think it was Amber Solaire, which claimed that it helped to keep the holiday glow, but didn't mention, until you read the small print, that it did so through the use of fake tan! :)

I had freaky blotchy legs for the entire holiday :)

It was Ambre Solaire for me too! My sister was laughing at me for not reading the bottle and I was like, "It said 'after sun'! Why would I suspect anything else would be lurking in there???"

I'm hoping it will fade by next Wednesday, else I may cry.

i *love* the Ambre Solaire aftersun with the fake tan, but you have to get the VERY light version, and you have to use it carefully. Oops. It washes off easily though, don't worry. Use some sort of exfoliator, like a body brush, and it will come right off in a couple of showers. Yup.

But then I'll lose what little tan I did manage to get. /vanity

And yeah, I think the "using it carefully" part was what went wrong. I pretty much slathered it on anywhere that was pink. It's a problem.

If it hasn't gone by next week I will get the exfoliator out. Ah dear.
