Army to suspend DADT discharges, accept gay recruits

Possibly even more surprising is how overwhelmingly supportive the comments are. Usually the comments threads on Yahoo and other news sites are a cesspool of trogs.

Just check with the nearest recruitment center. I think there are some physical requirements, but you will have some time to meet them.

You do realize that this is not (yet) permanent? The government is deciding whether or not to appeal the Ninth Circuit's decision on this. Until they appeal (likely to the Supreme Court) and a stay is granted (likely), they, in theory, have no choice about whether to accept LGB recruits.

At some point in the not too distant future, the certifications necessary for the DADT repeal law to go into effect will hopefully be signed, and after that, in 60 days, DADT will be no more, regardless of the status of the court case.
