Well. She'd be happy if things never got that interesting again. Ever.
So life went on, and they all began to pick up the pieces. Life, as "usual" as it could be. And honestly, it was with relief that she went about her daily activities: training at the High School in the morning, work at the Northern Lights in the afternoon, seeing her friends at Gohl in between and spending time with the people she cared about. If she had to continue to be in this city, that was the best way for it.]

Later, she wouldn't remember screaming the way she did and she probably wouldn't remember the pain. But right now it was unbearable -- the wound on her shoulder and on her side were both on fire from it, everything was on fire, a pain that seemed like it would consume her completely, or maybe kill her outright.
She couldn't handle it; though she tried and struggled and fought, she slipped with alarming ease into unconsciousness. She fell with a thud to the ground, sword clattering to the pavement beside her.]

Gilgamesh grabbed onto Umi's arm and hoisted her up slightly, dragging her away from the street and closer to a building. It wasn't going to do any good if that bit of life he left her with was just wasted feeding a monster.
