the oberammergau passion play is the incredible tradition of this tiny german town that only happens every ten years. as it so happens, my uncle and aunt lived in oberammergau, and we visited them there in 1990, the year the play was put on. one of my aunt and uncle's neighbors played judas! heh. my cousin brandon and i got to see the play with the ( Read more... )

so that's the program for it? wow, they really go all out, don't they?

now, did you read at all how soon beforehand that they start rehearsing? i mean, for a seven-hour show and a 2000-member cast? i can't imagine being the person in charge of all that.

(actually i can. and it sounds kinda fun, if a bit daunting. mmmm... taste of power... *salivates, homer-style*)
