The hardness and anger of 'the mood' is like iron in the first part of that section, and then, like dropping a cast iron axe, it shatters like glass when he hears Sean's voice and there's a sort of glittering in the air.
And the biting jealousy that made him 'angry that Sean had changed again and he wasn’t there!'
Then Sean always shy and afraid to move forward but then - saying 'I came here for you.' and then 'follow you anywhere'.
And the explosive 'Damn you'. that blew apart the lock gates and allowed the first rush of his opened love to crash through. 'Come with me.' and the running, dragging, running.... and then they kissed. Their first real speech between them. Sean's shy tongue and Viggo searching drawing...
The question - so tentative and ridiculous.... that Sean found the humour .and his laughter was cool wind that wound around Viggo’s neck and draped over his shoulders -- -- those words are worthy of Viggo's love ( ... )

T__T I'm so delighted that this has turned into a series. I'm a giant sap okay, and I just want everyone to get a happily ever after. /o\ There's so much emotion bubbling under the surface of this - they've both been waiting and wanting for so long and I love love love that it's Sean who eventually takes the leap and tries to change things. I also love how Viggo is actually really emotional on the inside, almost violently so, even if he doesn't (can't?) show what he's feeling to Sean.
This whole thing is gorgeous but just a few lines that especially stood out to me:
A leap of faith required more acrobatics than he had ever been capable of, but Viggo thought that maybe he could take tiny little steps instead.
His eyes spoke differently, but Sean knew better than to trust his own sight, because there was always the possibility of lies.
if Viggo would one day wrap the sharp thorns of reality within the cotton balls of words.
He took a deep breath, felt the words he spoke solidify in the air ( ... )

It is awesome but oh so hard. This "One Day" - "when when when" I scream and crouch down inside me fearful of the next strike to fall.
How it must have felt? - Like breaking up into millions of needle-sharp shards of something that is similar but much harder than glass and to watch it happen to yourself in ultra-slowmotion.
Your life lying around you feet reflections of 'what would have been' in each of the millions of shards.
*crouches back into her comfy corner wincing*
