Ironically enough, I found about this article thanks to a tweet from Margaret Atwood. (I really should read some of Margaret's newer stuff, but I'm not sure how much I want to read about dystopias. Especially since The Handmaid's Tale is seeming more and more prescient.)

Hello, I saw you on itwillneverfly's blog and now I like what you say about reading. I've read almost no books in recent years. It's partly due to changes in the world, as you mention here - online reading and writing are so much easier than book reading. Now I'm reading an actual book, following my actual interest in its topic.

It's ironic to ask this question now, but I'll ask it. Would you like to be LJ Friends with me?

What are you reading now? (I finished A Game of Thrones - yes, I am seriously late to the party - and am currently reading an account of how Kim Jong-il, wanting to build the North Korean film industry, abducted a South Korean film director and his wife and forced them into making movies.)
