Day 18: Weekend Chores: Flowers, Living Room, Empty Your Outbox Apartment Therapy January Cure | Apartment Therapy.

It's a good thing that it's overcast today. If it were sunny, I'd be outside.

I see vacuuming in my future (after my yoga mat dries off). Maybe some dusting, too.

the only reason i have a document shredder is because someone died and left it to me

one thing you can do is rip address/info in half, or a few pieces, and separate the info into separate piles, then throw away each pile separately - but that's a pain

I've done that.

Fortunately, shredders go on sale at Staples from time to time, although their shredders for home use are crap. My mother has a shredder that was intended for use in a business; hers cost more, but she's had it for quite awhile.

My coworker said that, when she retires, she'd like to start a home shredding business. I think there'd be a fair bit of demand for that service.

In the meantime, thank god for electronic documents.

i've never used my shredder. it is prolly crap too. it's portable, and you sit it on top of a waste basket.

i agree

well - i think ANY recycling business is a good consideration, if it manages to survive intervening times of BS politics trying to shoot it down. but, definitely.
