so let me get this straight, the avatar movie is about the humans as the bad guy invading a virgin rainforest planet and trying to kill off the humanoid population, BUT the hero that saves the blue humanoids from the humans is a human that have his conscience transferred into the alien's body??? fuck you James Cameron.

I don't think it's his conscious... I think his genes just get mixed with the alien 'host'. So he becomes part of the species because they scientifically splice his genes.
