Has anyone ever noticed that there aren't really any movies with gay characters as the lead? I was trying to think of one, but couldn't. Except for "But I'm A Cheerleader"... But that doesn't count, because I'm trying to make a point. Does anyone know of any others, or am I going to have to write one?

Chasing Amy? Although one could argue that the chaacter I'm referring to isn't the main character and is actually bi in the context of the movie o.o

Hmmm...I've never seen it! It could be just that I haven't seen enough movies, and that's why I don't know of any. But really. There needs to be a nice little romantic comedy about lesbians or something like that.

See, the thing is there are gay movies, but they don't get mainstream theatre play. You can find them at blockbuster though if you know what you're looking for.

For a great romantic comedy about lesbians I suggest Better Than Chocolate. I can give more titles if you want, but at the moment I have to get to class.

Yeah, Better Than Chocolate is excellent. There's a few other glbt-focused movies I've seen, Velvet Goldmine etc. And a lot of others I've heard of but never seen, like Kissing Jessica Stein.

That's true I suppose. I was really only thinking of mainstream kinda stuff. Haha, you have to go to class and I'm IN class. I will definitely check that one out though, I've heard it's good.
