Boss (calling out from his office): Hey, Rebecca? Me: Yes? Boss: How many times have you seen The AvengersMe: I don't want to tell you, because you'll just make fun of me

Sorry for accidentally pressing "post" after one letter. Not sure how that happened...
I just wanted to say that I very much want to see it a third time, and might... er... want to... er.. write fanfic. Steampunk AU, actually. Hence the sudden interest in reading Steampunk, since it seems a little bit odd to be overtaken with the urge to write a Steampunk AU fanfic before I've read any steampunk novels. :-)
You should! You must! lil_shepherd and I have just bonded over our mutual fanfics, and I even said that we must find a way to bring you into the fold. :-)
I don't really know, to be honest. I'm like the aesthetic, but haven't actually read the books yet. I asked for recs on my own LJ a few days ago, but didn't really get much.
I'm currently reading Gail Carriger's Parasol Protectorate series and enjoying it very much. It's a light-hearted Victorian romance set in a London in which vampires and werewolves are openly accepted in high society, but it does contain definite steampunk elements, in amongst all the other genres.
I saw serenity like 12 times. I went by myself for half of them. Never be ashamed, just let people think you're silly, eventually you will win, cuz they will have a palmprint on their face and you will have a smile!
My all-time record for seeing a movie in the theater is 13 times for Titanic. But at least half of those showings were at a dollar theater, which we don't have here. So I don't I can even afford to match that record.
I have that problem with the husband and my friend on the other side of Florida. A few years ago, she actually said, not joking but not really mean, just...disappointed, "Don't you think you've seen the Pirates movie enough times now?" I thought, "Nope", but I said, "Maybe"...and then didn't mention it when I went back several more times. The final count was 15, and I loved it every time.
Next time your boss says something, laugh and tell him, "I have a friend who saw Sweeney Todd in the theatre 21 times--and 15 of those were after she'd acquired a crystal clear bootleg copy of the movie." And while he's still bug-eyed, add, "Then she had a straight razor tattooed on her back."
well...I went to see Battleship. Now there is shame--for the ridiculous plotline. :D but! alien apocalypse! \o/ I would endure a lot for another alien apocalypse. And for hot navy boys. (and awesome navy girls.)

Every Monday my boss asks me, "So, see any good movies this weekend?" with a big expectant smile. I was sorry to have to disappoint him this week. ;-)

I don't think I'll be seeing anything new though until Brave comes out. Because Pixar=love.
