The Lost series finale "The End"

May 23, 2010 23:34

I wanted to write about the Lost series finale, but I can't stop crying long enough to even begin to put my thoughts into any kind of order. All I can say is that the ending was right, and it made me overjoyed while also being utterly heartwrenching.

I will miss this show so much.

tv, lost

Yes. It was the ending the show needed to have.

I'm so glad you called so we could talk about it. I'm sad that the show is gone, but it ended so beautifully and so perfectly.

Wow...it was just Wow.

Such a bittersweet ending. I'm still just stunned. Just seeing Boone, Shannon, Charlie, and the others again...whew.

I can't believe it's over.

I cried through much of it. I never really bought into Sayid/Shannon, but seeing them together again made me an instant believer. And I cried my eyes out when Charlie and Claire remembered.

The ending was just so right. So perfect. Coming full circle, with that final scene of Jack, and then that final shot, with his eye closing. Absolutely brilliant.

I finally watched it a couple of days ago. Thought of you and how you probably reacted to it.

I'm feeling kind of dumb though. Regarding what really happened. I'm usually good about figuring that type of thing out but not this time.

Regardless of me being "lost" it was beautifully shot.

I haven't deleted if from my dvr so I can rewatch it.

I'm feeling kind of dumb though. Regarding what really happened.

Everything that happened on the island this year was real.

Everything that happened in the Sideways Universe was not. That world never existed. It was sort of like a purgatory, or a limbo, for all the dead Losties to gather in. Some of them died while on the island (Jack, Charlie, Boone, etc.) Some of them died afterward, according to Jack's dad. But after they all had died, they all found each other again in that world, and then moved on together to the white light of the afterlife.

Ah! Now when I rewatch it it'll make sense now.
Thank you!
