I just watched the episode. Wow! The very first scene had me worried. I'd momentarily forgotten Desmond had been shot the last time we'd seen him. Thank goodness he's ok!
I really enjoyed the whole back story/flashbacks of Daniel. Oh and that scene with Daniel and little Charlotte!
Hubby walked into the room right before Daniel got shot. When he was shot I exclaimed "OMG!", then hit pause to absorb the event, and then turned to hubby (who doesn't watch Lost or any show) to tell him in the simplest way the significance of the event (that the guy that got shot is from our time but had gone back to the 1970s and just got shot by his mom and that changes everything!) I didn't get much feedback from hubby -he was a good boy and silently just let me be while I finished the episode. :)
I've been living in fear for weeks now, ever since I saw the episode promotional photos. They showed Penny in the hospital with blood in her shirt -- and I freaked out when I saw that. There aren't enough words to describe how thankful I am that Desmond didn't die.
The scene with Daniel and Charlotte was just hearbreaking. Gah.
I am hoping that he is not dead no no no... my denial is showing. The only well one of the bright spots was Des and Penny. Oh gosh i am totally mush. He did promise not to leave oh golly i am going to start crying again. The other is half naked Jack... drool I love this show and hate it too
Sadly, I think he is dead. I liked Daniel, too, so that bums me out. But thank God Desmond survived. I would be utterly devastated if he had been the one to die.
